As one might imagine, having a newborn in the house is extremely time consuming, but I wouldn't have it any other way. James is such a blessing in our lives. Having him really helps me keep perspective of what this life is all about. The pictures in the slide show on the right are courtesy of Kate Peterson (elisabethkatephotography.blogspot.com) and Bella Baby Photography. Kate is a good friend as well as an amazingly talented photographer and was generous enough to come take pictures of James at our home when he was only 4 days old. Bella Baby Photography is contracted with the hospital and took pictures the day after James was born. I'm so glad to have captured those moments. He has already grown so much. Here are some pictures of "firsts" and other things I find to be of interest:

He loves to sleep with his hands above his head or by his face.

First Smile

His first real bath.
We had to give him sponge baths until his cord came out.

This is a common scene in my life lately. What a classic picture!

I can't forget Bentley! He makes our family complete. He has been so good at accepting James as part of the family. He feels it is his duty to let us know when James needs our attention and doesn't rest until James is taken care of. He is very loyal in staying by James' side, even for the 3am feedings. I also find it humorous when the doorbell rings and Bentley runs to the door, barks, then runs back and stands guard in front of James as if he will protect James from whomever is at the house. Good times!!
Cute little pictures of James. It is crazy how much he has changed and grown! He is one of my favorite babies. So, so cute!
ReplyDeleteJames is so adorable. We need to get together so we can see him in person. Hope you guys are doing well.
