Our House

The countdown continues as we progress. We learned this past week that we will do our final walk through on June 1. We are very excited as this date is a lot sooner than we were expecting. No complaints here especially as traffic and construction seems to grow at an exponential rate. I'm now averaging an hour to an hour and a half each direction to and from work. Good thing this move was already in the plan, otherwise it would definitely be a priority now! We will miss our place and the great people in our ward, but know we're going where we are supposed to. I was finally able to see the inside after a couple of weeks since the house is now all locked up. The countertops, cabinets, and tile are in place. Carpet is coming this Thursday. The baseboards, trim, and doors were initially painted wrong, but they are in the process of being fixed. The driveway has now been poured as well. I think it's coming together nicely! I'm not looking forward to moving all of our things, but I am definitely looking forward to being in a new place. These pictures are from May 23:
